The Akshu Fernando Foundation was established in loving memory of Akshu Fernando, a professional cricketer whose life embodied talent, discipline, and resilience. Following a tragic accident, Akshu remained in an unconscious for seven years, during which his family witnessed firsthand the emotional, financial, and social challenges faced by families of long-term unconscious patients.
Inspired by Akshu’s passion for cricket and his courageous journey, the foundation was created to transform personal loss into lasting social impact—supporting both vulnerable cricketers and critically ill patients who are often forgotten by society.
